Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in final negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming remake of the 1984's Red Dawn.
According to Variety.com, the movie "follows a group of teenagers who band together to fight back when their home town is invaded by an joint force of Chinese and Russian soldiers. Morgan will play the leader of the U.S. Special Forces team who discovers the teens' stronghold while behind enemy lines."
Morgan will co-star Adrianne Palicki, Supernatural's 'Jessica Moore'. Also starring the movie are Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge.
Red Dawn is set for release on September 24, 2010.
