During a three-week winter hiatus from shooting the hit CW show Supernatural, Jensen Ackles spent his downtime cleaning bathrooms, installing mirrors and stringing up lights – that’s the glamorous life of a TV star who is now the co-owner of Family Business Beer Co., a craft brewery in the Austin area.
Danneel Ackles is set to guest star in “Supernatural,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Ackles is set to recur as “Sister Jo” in the later part of the 13th season of the CW’s hit demon hunting drama. Sister Jo is described as “a well-known faith healer whose good works attract the attention of someone very, very bad: Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino).” The question she will have to face is whether Lucifer will kill her — or if he has bigger plans for her.
Her first appearance will be in episode 13, “Devil’s Bargain.”
While Hurricane Harvey continues to hit Texas, Supernatural stars have rallied the show’s fandom to make a difference. Led by Jensen Ackles’ Texas-based company, Family Business Beer Company, and Misha Collins’ charity, Random Acts, they launched a fundraising campaign to help with hurricane relief.
Supernatural star Jensen Ackles and his family are opening a brewery, Family Business Brewing Co., in Dripping Springs. The brewery and taproom will focus on various beer types, including ales, lagers, session IPAs, and barrel-aged stouts. It’s aiming to open before the end of the summer.
There are all sorts of crossovers in TV land. The DC heroes on The CW have their own Justice League with four-way crossover events, Netflix’s heroes of Hell’s Kitchen are coming together in The Defenders, the world of New Girl collided with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and there’s even gonna be an animated crossover between Supernatural and Scooby-Doo. But, while a Supernatural–Arrow mashup isn’t the craziest concept we’ve heard, actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are pretty realistic about its chances of happening.
