Castiel is no stranger to death. One of the perks of being an angel means God can bring you back, you know, if He feels like it. And despite the fact that Lucifer took an angel blade to Castiel in Supernatural‘s season 12 finale, it won’t come as much of a surprise that the show hasn’t seen the last of Cas, at least not according to actor Misha Collins.
This past August, you might have noticed some offbeat people doing some offbeat things, like milking a cow in formal wear, or playing badminton in the middle of a shopping mall. But these events seemed perfectly normal to the 30,000 people in the world’s biggest scavenger hunt aimed at charity. It’s called GISHWHES: The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen. David Pogue, of Yahoo Tech, tagged along with one group participating in the competition organized by Misha Collins.

You know him best for playing the beloved angel in a trench coat onSupernatural, but when he isn’t busy bringing Castiel to life, talented actorMisha Collins is giving back through GISHWHES (The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen).
“Supernatural’s” Misha Collins may be moonlighting as the devil on the CW hit, but that hasn’t curtailed his good deeds off-screen; the actor has partnered with co-star Jensen Ackles to launch a charitable t-shirt campaign called “You Are Not Alone,” which will fund the newly created SPNFamily Crisis Support Network — a fan-led community support system where trained fans can help other fans deal with depression, self-injury, and addiction.
For Supernatural fans, Mark Pellegrino will always be Lucifer, and that’s why Misha Collins felt so much pressure when the show came to him with the idea that Lucifer would inhabit Castiel’s vessel. “It was very daunting because I think Mark Pellegrino is like the best actor that we’ve had on the show, so for me to have to play the same character that he’s been playing in a similar manner that he’s been playing is a real challenge,” Collins tells EW. “I think it’s an exercise that’s designed to make me look bad,” he adds with a laugh.
