With a father as an art director and production designer, a mother as a writer/producer and a brother as a former child actor and journalist, it is no surprise that Katharine Isabelle took the road into the world of showbiz. Isabelle has an impressive resume in the film and television industries.
Her role as Katie Murray in the film Cousins kick-started her career in 1988, after which she appeared in various made-for-television movies such as Last Train Home, The Last Winter, Burning Bridges, to name but a few. In 2000, Isabelle was firmly propelled into the public eye in the film Ginger Snaps, starring opposite Emily Perkins. She has additional appearances in Josie and the Pussycats, Turning Paige, Insomnia (where she had the opportunity to work alongside Al Pacino and Hilary Swank), Carrie, Freddie vs. Jason and Falling Angels.
In 2004, Isabelle appeared in the fantasy film Earthsea, which is based on the fictional realm created by Ursula K. Le Guin, as Yarrow. The film also stars Shawn Ashmore, Kristen Kreuk, Isabella Rossellini and Danny Glover. Presently, Isabelle has two projects in the works, namely the sci-fi film, Ogre, where she plays Jessica and as Bree in the comedy romance Another Cinderella Story.
Television has been home to Isabelle in guest roles in MacGyver, Neon Rider, The X-Files, The Net, The Immortal, The Outer Limits, John Doe, Smallville and Stargate SG-1. She has had recurring roles Allysia Long in Madison, Audrey in the Da Vinci’s Inquest, Denise in First Wave and as Ava Wilson in Supernatural.
