Katie Cassidy (Ruby)

July 12, 2007

Full Name: Katherine Evelyn Anita Cassidy
Date of Birth: November 25, 1986
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California, USA

In her youth, Katie Cassidy was an active child: she partook in gymnastics, studied piano, played guitar and sang, went for lessons in acting and dancing as well as becoming a cheerleader for the California Flyers. Her creativity was directed in all areas and it appears almost inevitable that she step into the world of stardom as she was born and raised amidst the dazzling life of show business.

As it stands, Cassidy’s professional range extends into the arts of singing, modelling and acting. In 2002, the music industry opened its doors for her when she landed a deal with Artemis Records to cover her father–teen heartthrob David Cassidy’s, hit song: “I Think I Love You”. Following this, she quickly landed a role in VH1’s Bubblegum Babylon.

Her position as a star in her own right was cemented with roles in various television series such as The Division, Listen Up, 7th Heaven and Sex, Love & Secrets. Cassidy also has additional film credits in The Lost, When a Stranger Calls, Click, You Are Here, and Black Christmas.Read More

Samantha Ferris (Ellen Harvelle)

July 11, 2007

 Full name: Samantha Jane Ferris
Date of Birth: November 2, 1968
Place of Birth: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Samantha Ferris seems to have a natural affiliation with television. Prior to stepping into the world of acting, Ferris was a reporter for KVOS TV -12, the station in Bellingham, Washington. It is unsurprising that one of her break-in roles as an actress was as a reporter in the series Viper, a role she was, of course, fit for.

Things moved on and up from there and she acquired roles of note in shows such as Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Da Vinci Inquest, The L Word and Battlerstar Galactica. Her most enterprising ventures are undoubtedly in the realm of the paranormal which has stood her in good stead with recurring roles in The 4400, where she played Nina Jarvis as well as the fabulous Roadhouse-owning demon hunter, Ellen Harvelle, mother of the equalling enchanting Jo Harvelle, in Supernatural.

Some of her film credits include roles in Along Came a Spider, Shattered (previously named Butterfly on a Wheel), Last Chance Café and Tell Me No Lies. Ferris extends her abilities beyond just merely acting for the silver screen by also giving life to animated characters in various voice-over projects.Read More
