Spike TV has announced the nominees for Scream 2009. The event will be taped on Saturday, October 17 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT).

Jared Padalecki's Friday the 13th is nominated for Best Horror Movie.

Jensen Ackles' My Bloody Valentine 3D is nominated for Best Horror Movie and Best Actress in a Horror Movie or TV Show.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Watchmen is nominated for Best Fantasy Movie, Best Comic Book Movie, The Holy Shit! Scene of the Year, Most Memorable Mutilation, Best Supporting Actress, Breakout Performance-Female, Best Ensemble, Best F/X, Scream Song of the Year, Best Superhero and Fight-to-the-Death Scene of the Year.

This year it's "Grey's Anatomy" on ABC, "CSI" on CBS, "The Office" and "Community" on NBC, "Supernatural" on CW and "Fringe" on Fox.

Fox moved "Fringe" to this time slot, which could be the kiss of death for the science fiction/fantasy show.

It will be hard to lure a similar audience away from "Supernatural," which also uses the odd and the weird as a draw."

According to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, Supernatural creator Eric Kripke maintains that as the series is in its fifth season, he has "every intention of ending the story with a bang and not drawing it out or watering it down."

That said, Kripke added that he is "looking at this season as the last chapter in this particular story. That doesn’t mean there can’t be a new story. Buffy did it. The X-Files did it. You close a chapter on a big mythology storyline and then you begin a new one."

Ausiello mentions that the CW has yet to renew Supernatural for a sixth season, and that even if it does, Kripke doesn’t have a deal in place beyond season 5.
