Opening scene: a fairly athletic looking man jogging through the mist of the night. He has his earbuds in so he doesn’t notice the guy dressed as the Kool-Aid man running up behind him until the man Usaine Bolts right past him. The fit guy is a sport about it and congrats the dude. The guy, clearing used to this kind of praise, shoots off the first of many a heartfelt pun running rampant through this episode.

SUPERNATURAL Even with Last Week in Key Demos (CW Press Release)

October 18, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – Compared to last week’s strong series debut, ARROW held steady last night in adults 18-34 (1.1/4) and adults 18-49 (1.3/4), and rose 20% in men 18-34 (1.2/4) and 15% in men 18-49 (1.5/5), according to final national Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, October 17, 2012. ARROW is the only new network drama this season to maintain its audience in both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 from its premiere to its second week.

ARROW held 86% of its audience from last week’s premiere in total viewers (3.6M).

ARROW outperformed NBC’s comedies in the 8:00-9:00 pm hour in adults 18-34 and tied in adults 18-49. ARROW tied for second in the hour among men 18-34, and beat NBC and FOX among men 18-49 (1.5/5).

SUPERNATURAL (9:00-10:00 pm) also held 100% of its audience in key demos from last week, staying flat in adults 18-49 (1.0/3), men 18-49 (1.0/3), women 18-49 (1.0/2) and women 18-34 (1.0/3).
