Ending the annual pop culture convention with a bang on Sunday, iconic rock band Kansas surprised more than 7,200 Supernatural diehards assembled in Hall H with a live performance of the show’s unofficial theme song, “Carry on Wayward Son.” With an impressive light show and screens spanning the entire length of the biggest room at Comic-Con showing highlights from the past 12 seasons of The CW’s longest-running series, the event was less like a panel and more like an arena rock concert.

Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki began Comic-Con week doing a keg stand with Conan O’Brien, and finished on Sunday by getting their faces melted by the band Kansas.
But for thousands of screaming fans who showed up to the pop-culture extravaganza, those two were the real rock stars.

The potential Supernatural spinoff has added Kathryn Newton (as Claire Novak), Katherine Ramdeen (Alex Jones) and Briana Buckmaster (Sheriff Donna Hanscum) to its cast. The trio will join Kim Rhodes (as Sheriff Jody Mills) in a backdoor pilot airing as a Season 13 episode of the long-running CW series.
Supernatural stars are realistic about that proposed Arrow crossover
There are all sorts of crossovers in TV land. The DC heroes on The CW have their own Justice League with four-way crossover events, Netflix’s heroes of Hell’s Kitchen are coming together in The Defenders, the world of New Girl collided with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and there’s even gonna be an animated crossover between Supernatural and Scooby-Doo. But, while a Supernatural–Arrow mashup isn’t the craziest concept we’ve heard, actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are pretty realistic about its chances of happening.
