“Kelowna RCMP say what started as a prank to impress friends went awry Sunday when a woman attached helium balloons to a 1 1/2-metre tall Christmas tree as part of a scavenger hunt event but the tree got away from her, prompting a call to Kelowna’s airport warning officials there that a floating tree was headed its way. No problems were reported at the airport as a result of the airborne evergreen.”
