The Opening of the Bloody Valentine Sequel You Might Not See

"When My Bloody Valentine opened in 2009, sequel talks immediately began. Director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer cracked a story, but Lionsgate simply wasn't interested in doing a follow-up, despite the film's $21 million opening weekend gross.

Out promoting the release of their latest collaboration, Drive Angry, Lussier and Farmer felt now was as good a time as any to discuss the sequel fans of the first film will probably not see. And, thankfully, they felt comfortable filling Shock in on what they had planned. But they just wanted to offer a few details. They admit that some of the script ideas might transfer into other upcoming projects, however, the opening sequence was suitable to talk about."
