More info on Band of Brothers dedication with Richard Speight Jr

"Freedom has a price, yet for the city of Tonawanda, no price can pay for the incredible service from the nation’s veterans.

That is why the city will unveil the All Heroes Memorial at 11 a.m. Saturday, near City Hall, 200 Niagara Street.

There will be three monuments dedicated to all city of Tonawanda natives who have given their lives for our country. This includes the Niland Brothers, who are believed to have inspired the movie Saving Private Ryan, as well as Warren “Skip” Muck, the inspiration for the book and movie Band of Brothers.

Saturday’s ceremony will also include a fly over by the Niagara Falls 914 Air Lift Wing as well as remarks from Rick Lewis, Congressman Chris Lee, Brigadier General Thomas Masiello, Preston “Pete” Niland and Richard Speight, Jr."
