Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and his brother Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) are scarred forever when their mother is killed in a unnatural phenomenon at a young age. Now, 22 years later, the family hunts for supernatural beings who threaten mankind in hopes of finding and destroying whatever killed their mother.

Of the shows reviewed, this show has had the most character development, due in no small part to the smaller cast. The story is well told and the characters have good chemistry together. This show has a lot of potential, but only if it adds a female regular (a necessity for any science fiction show–you can guess why), continues character development and stays away from the “monster of the week” and “reset button” that poorly written science fiction has become infamous for (yes, Smallville, if it can be considered science fiction, has definitely fallen into this trap.) For now, it's on my list of shows to watch weekly.
