UPDATED: Supernatural Season 9 to be released on dvd and blu-ray September 9

Warner Home Video has officially announced Supernatural – The Complete 9th Season on DVD ($59.98 SRP) and Blu-ray Disc ($69.97 SRP), set for release on September 9th. Package art is below, and they will come with these extras:

  • Men Of Letters – a Set of Featurettes
    • Men of Letters: The Winchester Legacy – This documentary featurette will explore the rich mythology of the Men of Letters – from its roots with the Winchester family to the hidden compound that was passed down to Sam and Dean by their grandfather.
    • Designing the Men of Letters Bunker – From concept to completion, Production Designer Jerry Wanek will guide us through the creation of Supernatural’s largest set.
    • Supernatural – Bound by Blood: Decisions and Consequences – The documentary featurette explores the ninth season’s theme of consequences for Sam and Dean.
    • Crow’s Nest Tour- Production Designer Jerry Wanek takes the viewer on a set tour of the Crow’s Nest.
    • Library Tour – Production Designer Jerry Wanek takes the viewer on a set tour of the Library.
    • Lab – Production Designer Jerry Wanek takes the viewer on a set tour of the Laboratory.
    • Galley – Production Designer Jerry Wanek takes the viewer on a set tour of the Kitchen.

    Summer of SPN: 200th episode appreciation project

    This Fall, Supernatural will air its 200th episode. The little show that could, the show that was on the bubble for most of its TV life, is now joining some extremely tight TV history ranks. In an industry where most shows never even make it past their pilot endeavor this is an amazing accomplishment. Who do we have to thank for the fact that we still get to watch this amazing series unfold? The writers. The cast and crew. And of course, the fans. So this summer, as we head into season 10, we’d like for you to join us for an outpouring of appreciation; a celebration of The Story of Sam and Dean Winchester. The Winchester brothers have been through a lot in this decade and we’ve all been right there with them. They’ve loved and lost, but they remain the only constants in this unbelievably rich world the writers have created. So why not let everyone know how much Sam and Dean Winchester mean to you?

    ‘Supernatural’ actor Osric Chau guest stars in ‘Red Sonja’ #10

    Fans of The CW’s Supernatural television series will recognize Osric Chau as Kevin Tran, the honor student turned prophet of God who helped Sam and Dean translate various tablets of significant importance and had to deal with an overprotective mom.

    Now the actor, who also appeared in The Man with the Iron Fists and Fun Size, is making the jump from the screen to the printed page, as his likeness will be used for a character in Red Sonja #10.
