‘Supernatural’ ratings rise for spin-off, tie ‘New Girl’
“The CW unveiled the backdoor pilot for its Supernatural spin-off on Wednesday night. The result? Ratings were up — a little. Bloodlines posted 2.1 million viewers and a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49, up a tenth of a point from last week. Just as notably, the episode was up 25 percent from its Originals lead-in. EW readers were pretty down on the pilot, with only 30 percent wanting to see more in our poll.
Here’s what’s competitively interesting: Supernatural actually tied Fox’s New Girl in the adult demo, and The Originals tied Fox’s Glee.”
