Just when you think "Supernatural" has run out of ways to poke fun of itself, here comes an episode in which Sam and Dean literally attend a "Supernatural" fan convention. Between its panel names ("Frightened Little Boy to Secret Life of Dean," "Homoerotic Subtext of Supernatural") to its LARPing attendees ("Buddy, I have heard that line 17 times tonight, okay?" notes one of the hired actors. "And all from dudes wearing MacGyver jackets. But you seem different."), "The Real Ghostbusters" took it to another level. And yet once again, the silly gave way to the serious as a pair of particularly invested LARPers remind Sam and Dean how, despite their painfully difficult struggles, it really must be cool to be them.

Two days ago we posted SF Universe's Cynthia Boris "look" at the scifi shows that will be airing in the 2025-2026 season, a "look" which included Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki voicing an episode of The Simpsons.

It seems that the "look" caused quite a mess, which had Boris posting a clarification: "It was a joke – Jensen and Jared are not going to be on The Simpsons."

SUPERNATURAL and SMALLVILLE will both be renewed.
If the CW inability to field a complete Monday to Friday schedule this season has illustrated anything, it’s that the little-network-that-could certainly doesn’t have the financial wherewithal to develop the five to ten pilots necessary to properly replace their aging roster of once-hit shows. Which is why we are confident both SMALLVILLE and SUPERNATURAL, with their incredibly loyal fanbases will be renewed for a tenth and sixth season respectively.
