TV’s Best Credit Sequences

July 6, 2009

E! Online's Watch With Kristin listed their TV's best and worst credit sequences, with Supernatural on Best Minimalist Credits:

Supernatural: At first glance this is just a simple, albeit creepy Supernatural title, but the show has changed up the accompanying visual each season. Season two was flames, season three was smoke, season four was a flock of evil crows. Good stuff.

DVRs and TV habits

July 6, 2009

Buffalo News has an article on playback devices that are changing viewing habits.

"Naturally, some of the shows with the smallest live audiences have some of the larger percentage gains. For example, the CW’s “90210” had as many viewers watching it later on DVRs as it had watching it live. The total rating was only 1.8.

Two other low-rated CW shows, “Supernatural” and “Smallville,” saw 59 percent and 44 percent gains each but still didn’t hit a 3 rating. But “Gossip Girl” only gained 25 percent here to a 2.0."

The Best Supernatural Villain on the Official Magazine cover – Vote!

July 5, 2009

Titan Magazines, publisher of Supernatural Official Magazine, offers fans to vote for the best villains in some of sci-fi’s biggest franchises. The top villain from each franchise will appear on a special series of commemorative covers from Titan Magazines, to be revealed later this year.

Voters in each franchise could also win a year’s subscription to the relevant magazine.

Supernatural Magazine

Sam and Dean Winchester hunt all manner of spirits and monsters on a daily basis, but some of their adversaries have been truly evil schemers! Perhaps you think the “Yellow-Eyed Demon” Azazel, with his overarching plans, was the nastiest? Or maybe the malicious first demon, Lilith? Then there’s the turncoat Ruby, who betrayed Sam, or the torturer demon Alastair, who tried to make Dean his apprentice in Hell. Or perhaps the fallen angel Uriel was the worst, for killing his own kind to raise Lucifer? You’re almost spoilt for choice!

Email your vote to: votesupernatural@titanemail.com

The special cover featuring the winner will appear on issue #13, on sale November 27.
