According to Variety.com, AFTRA will begin negotiations with AMPTP for a new primetime contract on April 28. As was posted yesterday, SAG  has announced it will begin negotiations with AMPTP on April 15. The talks will take place at AMPTP headquarters in Encino.

The SAG-AFTRA contract on feature film and primetime TV expires June 30, 2008.

AFTRA (The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is a national labor union representing over 70,000 performers, journalists and other artists working in the entertainment and news media.

Due to filming Friday the 13th, Jared Padalecki will not be able to attend the 2nd Asylum Convention, to be held 9th to 11th May, 2008 at Birmingham, UK.

Scheduled to appear the convention are Samantha Ferris (Ellen Harvelle), Chad Lindberg (Ash), Katie Cassidy (Ruby), Jason Manns, Steve Carlson and Adrianne Palicki (Jessica).

Due to Supernatural Production commitments, Jared Padalecki will arrive the convention late Saturday, instead of arriving on Friday night as was originally planned. The new development brought schedule changes, which you can learn more about on EyeCon 2008 announcement, here.

Another development is the attendance of Sandra McCoy at the Banquet on Saturday. Sandy has also decided to do a Q&A on Saturday!
