Chad Lindberg's (Ash) The Other Side of the Tracks has won the Cinematography & Best Soundtrack Award at the Connecticut Film Festival.

The movie has also won the Audience Choice Feature Award at the Kent Film Festival and has received a Special Spotlight at the Florida Music Festival 2008.

The Other Side Of The Tracks will next feature on Woods Hole Film Festival, July 26, 2008 and Rhode Island International Film Festival, August 5, 2008.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s ‘Watchmen’ with ‘Tales’

Warner Brothers will release the comic-within-a-film Tales of the Black Freighter on DVD, five days after Watchmen release date. "The DVD will also include a documentary-style film called Under the Hood that will delve into the characters? backstories." Source.

According to SCI FI WIre, "Eventually, Tales of the Black Freighter will be followed about four months later by the DVD release of Watchmen itself and then an "ultimate" edition in which the two are edited together into one megamovie, the newspaper reported."

Watchmen is set for release on March 6, 2009.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s ‘Kabluey’ finds a distributer

Regent Releasing has acquired distribution rights to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's comedy, Kabluey, planning to release the movie this summer.

Morgan stars alongside Lisa Kudrow, Scott Prendergast, Teri Garr, Christine Taylor, Conchata Ferrell and Chris Parnell.

Kabluey, written and directed by Prendergast, was produced by Rick Rosenthal along with Gary Dean Simpson, Rhoades Rader, Jeff Balis and Doug Sutherland. Sarah Feinberg and Nancy Stephens executive produced.

The movie won audience awards at the Austin Film Festival and the Oxford (Mississippi) Film Festival.

"Inept Salman (Scott Prendergast) comes to help his sister-in-law (Lisa Kudrow) tend to her homicidal toddlers while Salman's brother is off fighting in Iraq. Salman must take a humiliating job as a giant blue corporate mascot to help make ends meet and hold the family together.
