According to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, "Sam and Dean’s inability to maintain meaningful long-term relationships with the opposite sex will continue throughout season 5."

Series creator Eric Kripke said that “We certainly have a lot of guest star female love interests that the boys help save and interact with. But at the moment, there are no plans for a longstanding romantic relationships.”

According to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, Supernatural will unveil its version of the Tooth Fairy in this season’s sixth episode. The series is also casting a new recurring role:

"Jesse: An all-American boy age 11 who is wise beyond his years. He was adopted as an infant and remains perplexed by his unusual powers. He possesses a childlike innocence—he believes in the Tooth Fairy (Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!)! He suddenly finds himself faced with a very adult decision."
