The previous episode threatened to be a comedic Halloween romp, and instead took a far better turn into season arc territory. To be honest, I was expecting more of the same in the episode, so I was a bit surprised to discover that there was another absurdly strange installment on the schedule. For the record, that makes three episodes out of the last four with strong comedic overtones.

Lauren Cohan’s ‘Float’ won the Best Screenplay Award at AFFMA Festival

Lauren Cohan's (Bela Talbot) movie, Float, won Best Screenplay Award at the 11th Annual Arpa International Film Festival.

The movie will next feature at the Chicago Filipino American Film Festival, Saturday, November 8, 6:00PM at the Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, Illinios, 60641.

Nicki Aycox in a (possible) new series

Nicki Aycox (Meg Masters) has been cast in TNT's drama pilot The Line, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Line "is a character-based police drama that revolves around a squad of undercover LAPD officers as they walk the line between doing their job and being seduced by easy money."

Logan Marshall-Green and Omari Hardwick have also been cast in the pilot. The Line is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, director Danny Cannon, writer Doug Jung and Jonathan Littman.

Misha Collins at the 3rd ‘Asylum’ Convention

Misha Collins (Castiel) is scheduled to attend Rogue Events' 3rd Asylum convention, to be held 29th-31st May, 2009 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK.

As was already announced, Gabriel Tigerman (Andrew "Andy" Gallagher), Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), Fredric Lehne (The Yellow-Eyed Demon), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster), Amy Gumenick (Young Mary Winchester) and Charles Malik Whitfield (FBI Agent Victor Henricksen) are also scheduled to attend the event.
