Supernatural writer and producer, John Shiban, will act as executive producer on Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert upcoming new TV series, Wizard's First Rule.

Based on Terry Goodkind's books series, The Sword of Truth, Wizard's First Rule "is set in a fantasy world of magic and wizards and focuses on the Seeker, a man who is destined to save the world, but not before battling a whole bunch of bad guys." Source.

The series, which has been picked for 22 episodes, has been cleared for broadcast in 84% of the USA and its top 50 markets. Disney-ABC Domestic Television is producing. Also set as executive producers are Joshua Donen and Ned Nalle.

Shooting will start next month, as Wizard's First Rule is set for fall 2008.
