Supernatural Ep 2 Spoilers: Another Shape Shifter Attacks & More

Another shape shifter attacks & more in CW’s “Supernatural” episode 2 of season 6. The episode is entitled, “Two and a Half Men,” and things get wild when Sam finds a missing baby,a new shape-shifter attacks to try and steal the baby,and more.

In “Two and a Half Men” episode, Sam will investigate a case about missing babies whose parents are being murdered. At one of the crime scenes,he will discover a baby that was left behind and calls Dean for help. Reluctant to leave Lisa (guest star Cindy Sampson) and Ben (guest star Nicholas Elia), Dean will finally agree to meet Sam and surprise his him with how parental he has become.

Dean and Sam will take the baby to Samuel,and he will decide to raise it as a hunter,which will infuriate Dean. However, before they can decide the baby’s future, a shape-shifter will break in and attempt to kidnap the baby. “Supernatural” episode 2 of season 6 airs Friday,October 1st at 8pm central time on the CW.

Super Friday night for The CW

The premiere of Smallville’s final season won its time period in adults 18-34 (1.2/5), men 18-34 (1.5/6), men 18-49 (1.4/6).  Smallville beat ABC and FOX in adults 18-49 (1.3/5).

Smallville delivered The CW’s best performance in the Friday 8-9pm time period in 2 years in total viewers (2.9mil) and adults 18-49 (1.3/5).

The debut of Supernatural scored The CW’s best performance in the time period in 2 years in all key categories, including adults 18-34 (1.3/5), adults 18-49 (1.2/4), men 18-34 (1.5/6), men 18-49 (1.3/5) and viewers (2.8mil).

Supernatural won the 9-10pm hour in men 18-34 (1.5/6) and beat ABC and FOX in adults 18-49 (1.2/4), men 18-34 (1.5/6), men 18-49 (1.3/5).

The CW was #1 on Friday night among adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49 (1.4/5).

This was the CW’s best Friday in total viewers (2.85mil), adults 18-34 (1.3/5), and men 18-34 (1.5/6) in two years (since 9/26/08, the final Smackdown).  It was our best performance in adults 18-49 (1.2/4) and men 18-49 (1.4/5) since the two-hour SMALLVILLE “Absolute Justice” episode in February 2010.

Ratings for Supernatural’s Exile on Main St

"Next up was The CW (2.85 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with the season premieres of "Smallville" (2.90 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6) and "Supernatural" (2.79 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7)."

Supernatural beat last year's America's Next Top Model that aired in the same timeslot by 140%.

SUPERNATURAL premiere draws 2.79 million viewers/1.2 rating (beating a new Good Guys and a Whole Truth repeat)
