‘Smallville’ Schedules Episode About Congresswoman Getting Shot

January 28, 2011

In an article written January 13, the episode of Smallville that was originally scheduled to air tonight is described as "eerie how similar this storyline seems" to the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords.

"However, logic dictates that this episode of Smallville will be preempted. Given the way the Giffords shooting has impacted the country, to have TV show feature a plot line about a congresswoman getting shot at a rally would be in bad taste, even if it is a super hero fantasy series."

This could be the reason that the CW decided to postpone Smallville and Supernatural to next week.… Read More

After Friday Switcheroo, Revised Schedules for ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Smallville’

January 28, 2011

"On Thursday, the CW announced that the return dates of 'Supernatural' and 'Smallville' had been pushed back a week — instead of returning from their winter breaks tonight, Jan. 28, they're now returning Feb. 4. I know, grrr.

The main reason for the switcheroo is to give 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Nikita' another airing on Friday, which they may well need after going up against 'American Idol' on Thursday."

Smallville, Supernatural Returns Delayed a Week

January 28, 2011

Spoilers from EW

Supernatural!!!!!!! — Laura
Okay!!!!!!! The first episode back, now airing Feb. 4, will focus quite a bit on the Sam-almost-killed-Bobby thing. In fact, Bobby finds himself uneasy around the youngest Winchester even though he was recently re-souled. We already know Dean’s his favorite, but Bobby’s reaction will leave you wanting to hug Sam (erm, more than you already want to hug Sam on a normal day). Bonus dish: You will rewind a hotel scene where Dean reads a girl’s diary about 10 times.

THIS has me VERY upset. Supernatural scoop to make me feel better? — Alyson
It’s just a week. I think we’re all going to be okay. I can’t say the same for our brothers Winchester, though, who will be going up against an antagonist of Lilith proportions in the second half of this season. And just as freakin’ creepy — if not more so.

Zombies Heading to The CW

January 28, 2011

"Now that they've flipped through The Vampire Diaries and conjured all things Supernatural, the CW is looking to dig up another genre fave: zombies.

The CW is developing a script for the hour-long drama Awakening, about two sisters who face off against one another just as a zombie uprising begins. (This being the CW, we can probably assume Awakening will boast the best-looking zombies in the history of the genre."
