Jim Beaver on ‘The Walking Dead’?!

August 14, 2009

UGO tossed around a few ideas for a couple of the main characters of The Walking Dead, offering Jim Beaver for the role of 'Dale', the old coot whose camper and canned goods serves as the group's initial hideout from the hordes.

"Can't really have anyone but Jim Beaver as Dale. In Supernatural, Harper's Island and Deadwood he exhibited all the traits, acting chops and even the physical look of everything that makes Dale who he is. He's got the gruff older look with the capability of still making you think that he could convincingly kick some zombie ass. We also know that he is still in Supernatural, but this may be the final season coming up. Beyond that, he's been able to do multiple shows at the same time before, so it probably wouldn't be a problem for him."
