Jason Manns at The Mystic Carnival

Jason Manns is scheduled to attend For The Cause Entertainment Supernatural/Thriller Convention, The Mystic Carnival, to be held August 28-30, 2009 at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Manns will be performing Live Friday night.

As was already announced, Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer), Chad Lindberg (Ash), Fredric Lehne (Yellow Eyed-Demon), Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), Charles Malik Whitfield (Agent Victor Henricksen), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster), Traci Dinwiddie (Pamela Barnes), Michael Biehn (Terminator, Grindhouse), Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (Dark Angel), Dana Daurey (Silent Lies, Bewitched, Prank), Danielle Harris (Halloween [2007], Left For Dead), spiritual counselor Star, Shawnee Smith (Saw I-V, Grudge 3) and Missi Pyle (Galaxy Quest, Dodgeball) are also scheduled to attend the event. The convention will also include a Saturday night concert with musical guest Smith and Pyle.

The convention will benefit The Canadian Cancer Society, as a percentage of the the profits will go to the CCS.

‘Alien Raiders’ interview (Ben Rock)

Bloody-Disgusting has an interview with Ben Rock, director of Supernatural writer and producer John Shiban's sci-fi/horror Alien Raiders.

Alien Raiders will be released directly to DVD on February 17, 2009.

Special features will include:

· Hidden Terror: The Making of Alien Raiders – An in depth look at the “hidden among us” themes in the film.
· Blood, Sweat and Fears: The Special Effects of Alien Raiders – Behind the scenes look at creating the gory effects for the alien creatures in the film.
