Michael Shanks Online 5th Annual Auction

Michael Shanks Online are launching the fifth annual MSOL auction, the profits of which will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the charity supported by Michael and his wife, Lexa Doig. In the last four years the MSOL auctions and associated fundraising efforts have raised just over $81,000 US. for the MS Society of Canada.

The auction will feature items from past and current popular series such as "Supernatural", "Battlestar Galactica", "Star Trek", "Torchwood", "Farscape" and the "SG-1" spin-off, "Stargate: Atlantis".

Included among the many items available for auction:

* Michael Shanks' signed, personal "SG-1" scripts (with hand-written notations), plus scripts and call sheets from his appearances on the USA Network series "Burn Notice" and the Fox Network series "24"

* Stargate DVDs signed by the original movie's stars, Kurt Russell, Mili Avatal, Erick Avari and Alexis Cruz.

* Photos, posters, DVDs and action figures signed by – among others – Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles ("Supernatural"), Jeffrey Donovan ("Burn Notice"), Jamie Bamber and Katee Sackhoff ("Battlestar Galactica"), Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett and Paul McGillion ("Stargate: Atlantis"), Sean Astin ("The Lord Of The Rings") and Gareth David Lloyd ("Torchwood").

Airlock Alpha has released its "long list" of potential nominees, where the final five in each of the 14 categories will be chosen from for the 10th Portal Awards.

Supernatural scored 2 potential nominations for Best Actor/Television (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki), 2 for Best Supporting Actor/Television (Jim Beaver and Misha Collins), 1 for Best Supporting Actress/Television (Genevieve Cortese), 1 for Best Young Actor (Colin Ford), 2 for Best Guest Star/Television (Genevieve Cortese, "Lucifer Rising"; Christopher Heyerdahl, "On the Head of a Pin"), 3 for Best Episode/Television ("Lucifer Rising," "The Monster at the End of this Book," "Wishful Thinking")

The series is also a potential nominee for Best Series/Television.

Richard Speight, Jr.’s ‘North Beach’ San Francisco screening (June 13)

Richard Speight, Jr. (Trickster) posted a message, letting fans know of a charity screening of his independent feature film, North Beach. The 10th anniversary screening is being held in honor of Rob Mulloy, one of the film's producers, who died of stomach cancer a few years ago.

Speight will attend the event, and is informing Supernatural fans that if they show up, he will sign whatever they want.

North Beach 10th anniversary screening will take place Saturday, June 13th at 2:30pm at Roxy Theater, 3117 16th St., San Francisco, California, USA. For more information on the screening, click here.
