“Misha Collins may not actually be God (though for a brief moment in time, he played the deity on Supernatural), but he certainly knows the importance of using his elevated stature in the entertainment community to do virtuous deeds when and where he can. In addition to founding Random Acts and encouraging his “minions” to take moments out of their days and lives to be perform kindness for others—even complete strangers—Collins also headed down to Haiti in the summer of 2011 to rebuild Jacmel after an earthquake devastated the already flawed infrastructure.”

While Misha Collins is set to appear in “a minimum of eight” episodes, per CW president Mark Pedowitz, it seems like fans will only be seeing him (at least in the beginning of the season) in flashbacks to purgatory. “You’re certainly going to see more of him in terms of understanding what happened in purgatory, and that’s as far as we’re going, because it’s fairly significant what happened in purgatory,” new showrunner Jeremy Carver teases of Castiel’s role in season eight. As for Dean’s mental state post-purgatory and if it will at all resemble his post-hell experience in season four? “Purgatory has a very different effect—and different types of beings that are down there,” Carver tells us. “Just because he’s driven and he’s very into hunting, it doesn’t mean all is well.”

NBC to air an extended 2 Minute Preview of Eric Kripke’s ‘Revolution’ Tonight
“NBC will air an extended preview (2 minutes and 40 seconds) of the upcoming drama from producers J.J. Abrams, Eric Kripke and director Jon Favreau, tonight during coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. The preview will air during a commercial pod sometime between 10:45-11:15 ET/PT prior to the Women’s Gymnastics Uneven Bars.”
