Haunted City, a new comic co-written by Supernatural producer Peter Johnson and screenwriter Chap Taylor explores the Big Apple as the “world’s biggest haunted house,” and is the first comic to emerge from the recently announced partnership between film director McG’s production company and Aspen Comics. The story follows a struggling cop who is recruited into a secret police unit that deals with New York’s mythical threats.

Colin Ford to star in Disconnect

Variety is reporting that Colin Ford is signed on to to star in Henry-Alex Rubin’s indie drama Disconnect with Alexander Skarsgard, Frank Grillo, Andrea Riseborough, and Michael Nyqvist. Disconnect will follow “a large ensemble of characters who are affected — and in some cases destroyed — by the Internet and other forms of modern communication.” Colin Ford will play the son of a single father and computer safety expert who struggles to protect his 15-year-old son from online dangers.

Eric Kripke to Develop Deadman Comic Adaptation

Multiple sites are reporting that Eric Kripke is writing & executive producing an adaptation of DC Comics’ Deadman for The CW.

According to TV Line, “Deadman centers on Boston Brand, a circus acrobat who is murdered but continues to live on when a supernatural being enables him to possess the living. He then finds himself torn between finding and exacting revenge on the man who killed him and using his new ability to help others.”
