That was a great first part...loved it. I loved how you wrote them in this one, I can totally see Bela acting noncaring about him asking her, even though inside she really does care, her defensive mask firmly in place. I do think though that the one event in her life is what made her what she is today. Granted I have my own backstories for her past :)
