WiSHCon, a new women-centric sci-fi and horror convention, will be held at the Hilton Downtown Columbus in Columbus, Ohio on November 18, 19 & 20, 2016.
The convention’s concept came from a group of fans that joined together to form this one-of-a-kind event in order to honor women working in the sci-fi and horror genres.
“We hope this event opens the eyes of people around the world to the kind of work, effort and artistic flavor that women play, not only in TV, but in all of entertainment,” say the founders of WiSHcon. “We want fans to be able to completely let loose and forget about real life and live in the moment at our event.”
The convention will kick off on Friday, November 18, 2016. In addition to panels throughout the day, there will also be autograph and photo opportunities for fans. Special events during the weekend include a VIP brunch with select convention guests, a concert for fans, a costume contest and a salute to women in the military in celebration of Veterans Day.
WiSHCon is still adding guests and will continue to over the upcoming months.
