EyeCon 2008 – This Weekend!

EyeCon 2008 will be held this weekend, April 4-6, 2008 in Orlando, Florida. A limit number of tickets should still be available to purchase at the time of the convention.

Scheduled to attend the convention are Jared Padalecki, Chad Lindberg (Ash), Alona Tal (Jo Harvelle), Sandra McCoy (Bedtime Stories' Crossroad Demon), Samantha Ferris (Ellen Harvelle), Steve Carlson, Gabriel Tigerman (Andrew 'Andy' Gallagher), Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer) and Kenneth Johnson (Creator of "V", Bionic Woman and Incredible Hulk).

In addition, Jensen Ackles' upcoming movie, Ten Inch Hero, will be featured at the convention. The screening will be followed by a live Q&A session with Ten Inch Hero producer, Mark Witsken, and the movie's director, David Mackay (The screening and Q&A session have an additional fee of $10.00).

AFTRA and AMPTP talks to start April 28

According to Variety.com, AFTRA will begin negotiations with AMPTP for a new primetime contract on April 28. As was posted yesterday, SAG  has announced it will begin negotiations with AMPTP on April 15. The talks will take place at AMPTP headquarters in Encino.

The SAG-AFTRA contract on feature film and primetime TV expires June 30, 2008.

AFTRA (The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is a national labor union representing over 70,000 performers, journalists and other artists working in the entertainment and news media.
