Sequential Tart’s Interview with Supernatural Locations Manager, Russ Hamilton

November 18, 2013

“Supernatural is about two brothers driving across America, but it is filmed entirely in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. While some scenes are shot in a Burnaby, B.C. studio, and on the backlot originally built for Zach Snyder’s Watchmen, the show’s signature look is due in part to the real-world locations where Supernaturalpitches its tent to film. Now that the show is in its ninth season, that’s a lot of location work.

Coordinating that is location manager Russ Hamilton, who joined the production during season 2. It’s Hamilton’s job to ensure the Winchesters get to where they’re supposed to be going, and to be able to do their work there — on budget.”

TV and comic writer Adam Glass is inspired by the dark

May 15, 2013

“If you are a fan of the Supernatural TV series, do not be surprised if Singapore pops up in an episode next season.  Adam Glass, 44, a producer and writer on the show about a pair of brothers who hunt down demons and other mythical creatures, was in town last week.  And Singapore certainly made a big impression on Glass, who was here on a week-long stint as a guest of Tisch School of the Arts Asia.”
